What is
Data Drawing?
And how it can help you make your next event fresh, fun and unforgettable

Data isn't just for 'numbers' people
What do you think when you hear the word 'data'? Maths? Spreadsheets? Nothing, you just tune out? I get you. I used to think I didn’t 'do data' either.
But guess what? I checked the weather report, tracked my workouts, bookmarked cafes I wanted to go to. Spoiler! All of these are data points.
Data can be anything. Data is how we
simplify and make sense of the world.
Data Drawing
Data Drawing is a way of visualising information that makes it more human and relatable. Expect unconventional shapes and hand-drawn charts. Life is messy. Data is imperfect. Graphs are fun.
At your next event do you want to
✓ Help people make connections
✓ Engage people and inject some fun
✓ Create shareable and marketable images
Then Data Drawing could be the answer

Live Data Drawings
• What are they? Sketchnotes, but for data! They visualise the atmosphere of an event or how people engage with it.
• When you’d want one: when you want to capture people’s attention.
• Where you’d use one: To add a spark to important events like conferences or company wide meetings.
☜ This example: Delighted a virtual audience by visualising the ‘invisible’—the attendee’s reactions & speakers slides.

Data Badges
• What are they? They visualise key information about you. Think of them like wearing your status report.
• When you’d use them: To make networking easier.
• Where you’d use them: Any situation where people need to network.
☜ This example: These data badges made networking easier for attendees at an in-person women's business event.
Data Portraits
• What are they? They visualise specific information about you. Think of them like a personal coat of arms.
• When you’d use them: As conversation starters and to help people feel connected.
• Where you’d use them: Generate a sense of community or exclusivity in groups.
☞ This example: A team’s annual performance KPI’s were turned into portraits. They felt really appreciated.

Client Review
The data-themed name badges worked really well and were a good conversation starter 😎. We're going to use them at our next Meet & Greet.

Hi there! I'm Sophie
I see data all around me just waiting to be visualised. I've been using data to tell visual stories, start conversations and help people engage with each other for over ten years. And I want to help you tell your story with data.
Let's make add a touch of magic to your next event and give all your attendees the superpower of seeing the data in each other.
